ok ... in last episode of gossip girl when ivy tells cece et al to get out of her apartment and they actually leave! i mean, yes, they noted, we do have another apartment in the city. but ivy just inherited everything of the mom's. clearly she lived someplace nice. if i were cece i'd have been like, wait, what? seriously? all of our stuff is here. why don't you go stay at my mother's apartment, which you also inherited from her. it's where we would go if we didn't already own another apartment we felt more comfortable in. also, this is going to look horrible for you in court when it shows that moments after inheriting this stuff, possibly as a con man, from our family, that you evict a bunch of those family members out of their long-time residence.
unless they are letting her stay there so they can go sack mother's residence.

I've said it before and I will say it again ... I hate the human voice and don't like listening to people sing. but i am actually enjoying "the voice" - although moreso the blind auditions than now when the singers are battling.
also america is totally falling in love with pip's 1950's milkman looks.

Can you imagine how badly the life of a Vanderbilt must be going if they have to attend Vanderbilt University??

i don't usually post things about entertainment but let's be serious ... john carter is going to flop so massively this weekend. amirite or amirite?
this guy from friday night lights is appearing in both JOHN CARTER and BATTLESHIP, which also seems like it's going to be a nightmare. the only good movie based on a board game will continue to be CLUE.
battleship may make money since people keep thinking it seems like "TRANSFORMERS in water" - as if that would make someone see a picture???? but people like things like that. honestly if the transformers movies had just been two hours of morphing/that morphing sound i would have loved them. unfortunately they were bogged down with things like attempted plot and dialog. but i digress.
riggins is going to appear in $550M worth of what look to be the worst movies in the next few months. how much will they gross? will it be career suicide??? i'm not certain. JC is being put out by disney who notoriously shove films down your throat until they turn a profit. will their nuanced strategy of total ubiquity* work with this film? i've only spoken to one person who wants to see this film, and he said "it looks horrible but i want to see it" - disney execs, remain calm. and remember, foreigners apparently have zero taste in what american films to see.
i actually think this riggins guy from FNL is pretty good on that show. maybe these movies will turn a profit, but let's face it they're both gonna be goose eggs. gooses egg? is that how it's pluralized? anyway, maybe they will make money. why shouldn't they? people love horrible stuff as long as they see it enough times. but years from now, people will look at 2012 as the year that the world ended. cinematically.

*i actually worked for disney when some of the pirates movies came out. leading up to the release of one of them a special memo was sent out to company:all that stated that as a special secret sneak preview, the trailer for the new pirates film would be available. but only on the disney studio lot, disney.com, abc.com, abc, disney channel, abc family, espn, espn.com, all espn zones, on all disney cruise ships, at the jumbotron in downtown disney, etc etc. i can no longer remember all of the places this exclusive sneak preview was available, but pretty much the exclusivity was limited to sighted individuals.
